Coating test by LINE DANCER of SOFTBOY PRO series, hanging type coating robot, with Bell-type electrostatic guns
Purpose is to pursue higher efficiency in metallic coating
We made an electrostatic powder coating trial more than 20 years ago. This is the first time for us to take a coating test using Bell-type guns.
Compatibility between the hanging type coating robot, LINE DANCER, and Bell-type gun in terms of Electrostatic and Pattern characteristics is very good. When the distance to the article to be coated became less than 150mm, however, the safety device stopped the spraying because of electrostatic repulsion. Now we understand that it is very important to complement the exact distance by teaching.
Also we understand that the revolving coating technology is very effective without any bad influence on the coating film in adjusting the balance with voltage capacity.
Although we knew that electrostatic coating was very useful for metallic work in productivity, it was the first trial to equip Bell-type guns on LINE DANCER. Combination of Hanging (Ceiling-suspended) type coating robot, LINE DANCER, R-technology and Bell-type Gun is a coating technology to be expected as a new system.
