Q. Can Indium paints be supplied overseas?

A. Yes, it can.

Q. How should we handle paint sludge?

A. Please dispose of it as industrial waste in the same way as general paint sludge.

Q. How do we store indium paint?

A. Middle Coat (EC-NTM59-) has a product warranty period of 6 months at room temperature and unopened. Undercoat (EC-NTM82-) and topcoat (EC-NTM62-) have a 12 months product warranty period at room temperature and unopened. Paint should be stored in a cool, dark place (-20 to 40°C) out of direct sunlight.

Q. Is it durable against sunlight and rain?

A. Yes, it is. With vapor deposition, a conventional dry surface treatment for mirror appearance layers, metals using aluminum and tin become transparent when they react with moisture and oxidize. Even in plating-like coating complex silver specifications, the metallic appearance becomes transparent by reacting with moisture and oxidizing. However, ECO MIRROR 49 does not become transparent due to sunlight or rain.

Q. Is it possible to adjust the color?　Are color variations available?

A. Color tone, gloss, and luster can be adjusted with the topcoat. Color representation of each metal plating such as chrome plating, nickel plating, copper plating, etc. is possible, and from there, hue, shade, and gloss can be further adjusted at the same time. Vivid colors are also available.

Q. What is the luminance level?

A. Gloss meter 60° shows a gloss value around 350

Q. What is the difference between a silver mirror and a complex?

A. Silver mirrors and silver complexes require chemical reactions and firing in the coating film. On the other hand, indium is not reactive and easy to control.

Q. It says 15±2μ of under and top, but if it is over, will the quality deteriorate?

A. Even if it is over, performance quality will not significantly deteriorate. However, we recommend that the specified film thickness be used since there is an increased concern about the quality deterioration in the appearance and edge accumulation areas.

Q. The drying conditions are 80°C for 20 minutes and 5 minutes, but (considering the use of the existing line) the drying time is likely to be a little over.
If so, will this cause any serious problems?

A. There are no significant concerns due to over drying time.

Q. Are there any materials that do not adhere?

A. Metal, glass, and wood are difficult-to-adhere materials. However, we may be able to introduce a corresponding primer. For details, please contact our sales representatives.

Q. Is it possible to convert the Indium paint to UV paint?

A. Yes, it is. For details, please contact our sales representatives.

Q. Does Indium paint conform to China GB standards?

A. The current specifications are difficult to adapt to GB standards. Therefore, we are first considering the possibility of adapting it for automotive interiors.
※Interpreted by the GB standard plating tone paint group standard, the middle coat is excluded subject. However, under and top coats are subject to GB standard regulations.

Q. How long does it last in an immersion test?
There is a hot water immersion test around faucets for about a week, the Indium paint can pass the test?

A. No problems in 24 hours adhesion test at 90℃ immersions.
No problems with appearance are found in a 1,000 hours test with salt spray cross cut.

Q. Is the finish evaluated by visual inspection?

A. The finish is evaluated by visual inspection.
Transmittance is used to control the thickness of the middle coating (tint meter).
The finished gloss shows a gloss value of around 350 on a gloss meter at 60°.

Q. Are coating defects (other than dust and particles) the same as with ordinary paint? (Unevenness, etc.)

A. The same as general paints, but the impact is greater because the appearance is more severe, so unevenness, fogging, and edge pooling should be noted.
