Each year TAKUBO Engineering presents a visual expression of the company’s theme for the fiscal year in the form of a splash movie on the Web site. In 2005 we chose a rather radical theme: “Starting from Zero—Rethinking Optimal Coating Costs from Zero.” Our customers told us that they found it very interesting. Purely by chance, several companies in other fields also chose zero as their theme last year. This may mean that we have captured the mood of the times in our efforts to create new value for our customers. In 2006 we are retaining Starting from Zero as our basic concept, while at the same time striving to broaden the range of value we offer customers.Another important theme nowadays is the environment and the role we all play as citizens of a living Earth. At TAKUBO Engineering, we take cost as the starting point for our efforts to reduce environmental impact. We considered the question of how we can contribute to our irreplaceable Earth, with its myriad environmental conditions and complex mechanisms that fit together in intricate ways. We thought of a coating system network on a global scale and chose a visual motif based on outer space.
