- TAKUBO was once again an exhibitor at SFCHINA2003, Shanghai, the 16th China International Surface Finishing Exhibition. As was to be expected with the increasing number of people involved in the coating industry, lines began to form at the exhibition venue in the morning. The ticket sales area was extremely crowded. Due to the large crowds last year, this time around the coating and equipment related exhibits were located in separate sections of the exhibition hall. The roads surrounding the venue were clogged with traffic and the total number of visitors to the exhibition was approximately 11,000.
- Long lines at the ticket counters. The sidewalks were full of people, causing visitors to overflow onto the roadways.
- The TAKUBO booth featured videos of the latest mobile phone coating equipment and backlit panels. The visitors were particularly interested in the videos.
- A large number and variety of coating samples were on display. The magnesium powder rotating coating examples and magnesium samples were the subject of much interest.
- Among the crowds were colleagues in the coating industry. The reception counter was manned by Chinese university students serving as Chinese and English interpreters.
