Indirect heating
TAKUBO ANALECTS
Inside of the oven is separated from the combustion chamber so that the burner heats inside of the combustion tube. Inside of the oven is heated by radiation heat from the tube. Fresh air from the outside is heated by the heat exchanger using waste heat of the exhaust air. The heated fresh air, hot wind, heats the inside of the oven. This is called indirect heating or waste-heat recovery.
The way to dry coated work pieces by this indirect heating method is called indirect heating drying. It is also called Heat-Recovery Type Hot Air Drying.
Perfectly preventing that vapor form the solvent could catch fire, the heat exchanger is used very safely. It is also a very ecological drying method to reduce the energy cost.
