Material skin is important Conducted substrate inspection

Indium mirror coating system

Material skin is reflected in the coating film
In plating-like coatings with indium mirror coatings, the skin of the material directly affects the coating film. Indium coatings are ultra-thin films at the nano-level.
Therefore, when there are many irregularities of several tens of microns that cannot be seen, they are directly reflected in the paint film, resulting in a cloudy finish.

Avoidable with thicker undercoat R technology
R technology is a thin-film and multiple-revolving coating method that produces a thin finish. This system is designed to reduce the amount of paint used to the ultimate level, thereby lowering the cost of coating. In other words, the film thickness can be adjusted by entering numerical values on SWANIST. Therefore, if the skin of the material at the time of plating-like coating is rough, a thicker undercoat can be used to prepare the skin, eliminate unevenness of the substrate, and avoid fogging the plating film.
※ Undercoat uses Eco Mirror Undercoat (manufactured by Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd.), which is exclusively used for In. Mirror Coating System.

R technology SWANIST
It is important to obtain skin information on the material before plating-like coating. Indium mirror coatings adjust and overcome them by SWANIST, which can adjust the film thickness. Then, a discontinuous film is formed and the coating film is finished via a topcoat.

Material Inspection Togane Technical Center
Before starting the coating test, the substrate of the material to be coated is inspected in an inspection room located next to the coating demonstration room in the Togane Technical Center.
