Coating data created using Data-Pro can be saved to floppy disk and later reproduced using a different Softboy Pro (Super Spindle or high-speed SP) system. Teaching data; condition settings such as the coating spray volume, atomizing pressure, and pattern pressure; and production and work data can all be reproduced exactly. This means that coating data can be shared among multiple production plants in different locations. The benefits thus provided by Data-Pro include improved quality stability, dramatically reduced coating consumption, a lower defect ratio, and substantially reduced coating costs overall.
The conventional environment for creating coating data has the demerit of requiring the use of the actual production line. Data-Pro is a custom coating data creation robot that realizes a virtual environment for creating coating data just like the actual production line. It allows generation of coating data without requiring that the actual production line be shut down. It also offers easier operation than conventional methods.
