Paint Show 2002
Paint Show 2002 was held over three days, April 4 through 6, 2002, at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo. Takubo Engineering exhibited large, medium, and small coating robot systems in the Softboy Pro series to an enthusiastic reception from people in the industry.
The work conveyor features a dual-axis "double turn" configuration. The design allows spin coating in a compact area and saves space when conveying work. The work jigs tilt, allowing easier coordination between the robots and the conveyors.
Four custom round jigs allow simultaneous coating by four guns. The sample work shown in the photos is mobile phone handsets and laptop (A4 size) computer cases. Designed to reduce coating costs, this four-gun model is the supreme member of the Super Spindle series.
This system is equipped with Keitai Pack, a new custom software application for coating mobile phones that eliminates the need for conventional teaching. Just do teaching for four points and this simple-to-use software application generates the necessary coating data quickly and easily. It can share data with the Super Spindle via a network and is compatible with the N-DACS21 as well. With Keitai Pack it becomes possible to network coating facilities, even plants located in different parts of the world.
Captain TK and a Takubo girl helped visitors learn about new Takubo technology in an exciting setting akin to riding on spaceship (left photo). Two other companion girls provided information at the Takubo booth.
