Drying Technology for Metals by Induction Heating
Usually drying method for metals is hot air by Gas only.
However, we finally introduce the IH drying technology by Electric Energy, which we have studied and developed before. Now we are pleased to explain the principle and features of its drying technology.
The process of conventional Gas Hot-Air drying is to warm the inside air in the furnace by burning fossil fuel like Gas and then to put coated work pieces into the furnace so that they could be dried(cured) taking a long time. On the other hand, the new system uses electricity as energy. It charges electricity into the magnetic outbreak coil and makes magnetic fields. This Jou-lo Drying system uses the Induction Heating in which the electrical resistance of a metal conductor generates heat, i.e. A Joule Heat.
※Jou-lo is a coined word, which is combined with “Joule Heat” and “Lo”(Drying Oven in Japanese).
“Jou-lo” Technology is Takubo’s original Coating Drying Technology for Metals in which we combine Joule Heat and Drying Oven.
◎High quality coating performance without any pin halls, foaming and others is realized because the coating layers are dried by heating the basic material.
◎Substantial reduction of lead time is realized because it takes only about 3 minutes to heat to 200℃.
◎Facility is miniaturized as well as lead time is shortened.
